Sometimes it’s great to mix bold flashes of colour, or clash completely different patterns for a little visual interest. I’ll be honest... I prefer to stick to my basics of black, charcoal grey, navy and tan. Instead of venturing out into the bright and sometimes confronting world of vivid colour. But with these outfits in mind, I’m willing to give colour a red hot go!

The Burberry models, including Rosie Huntingon-Whiteley, are looking very stylish in an array of sharp military blazers, crumpled trenches and soft shearling and fur jackets. I would kill for one of those navy blazers with gold buttons!

Finally back to a stable computer situation, which is fabulous! So expect in the future a post a day (to keep the doctor away!).
In the 13 degree Celsius Winter weather, I am craving being able to wear shorts! I don’t know many Victorians that aren’t dying for warm weather.
But let’s focus on the details of these outfits:

First off, the colour combination, peach and red, is one that I don’t think many people would contemplate wearing. But it definitely works effectively! Also notice the designer accessories; the Chanel clutch, the Hermes bracelet.

When is Emma Watson ever unstylishly dressed? Her corset top and shorts combination works very well. And I especially adore the olive green and black print on the corset top!

Alexa is also equipped with fashionable accessories. Her bag and shoes are super cute; ballerina flats with 3 buckles with a little hardware and a gorgeously shaped bag in a very current animal print. (I need to invest in a bag that is the same shape!)

Bassike: I have a great love for stripes, and I’d love to make something similar to the little tailored jacket in the second photo.

Lisa Ho: The colour palette of this show was very interesting; nudes, lime green and purple with lashings of gold jewellery. A collection full of skilful draping and layering.

Aurelio Costarella: The overall silhouettes of this collection were beautiful; corseted mini dress in shades of mostly black and nude, long sweeping evening gowns in dark hues of black and deep purple, and feminine ruffles in neutral colours (the last picture is of the gown that closed the show, completely drool worthy!).

All absolutely gorgeous collections, it’s great to see so much great Aussie talent!
