As you can see, I’m still loving very soft colour palettes. I love how different textures, especially straw, are used to create more depth and interest in this shoot.

This editorial is very sophisticated and expressive. But I especially love how the shots jump out at you!
White t-shirts… timeless. I love this picture of a clothes line in New York but I was forced to make it more relevant for you guys!
I love the preppy royal blue blazer contrasted with the leather pants and towering platform heels… they look like Loubs, gimme gimme!
What comes to mind:
40s inspired editorials, pencil skirts, mixing prints, tailored jackets, miu miu, knitted cardigans and sharp collars. A flash of colour, cat eyed sunglasses and coiled updos. Love it all!
Love the gothic romance, thick eyeliner and long black layers :)
In this shot, Giovanna Battaglia shows how to perfectly mix prints. By using patterns of a similar colour palette her outfit doesn’t appear at all over the top, and brown is a great place to start!
Being a dancer myself, I love dance inspired editorials. A mix of ballerina inspired toughness and Freja Beha… a great fashion combination. The playfulness and femininity of tutus and ankle ribbons, contrasted with edgy leather are perfect in this shoot!
Maxi skirt, blazer, denim scarf and velvet tie belt… an outfit of carefully thought out contrasts :)
Rosemount Australian Fashion Week is coming up, and I’m excited for all the Australian bloggers heading to Sydney for RAFW. Sadly, I’m not going to Sydney, but these backstage pictures of Therese Rawsthorne’s last collection cheered me up!
I’m seeing Natalia all over the May editorials, and I am loving it! This is the colour palette I am going for this Autumn/Winter: nudes, pastels and light grey near the face, with a hints of dark colours below. I’m trying to stay away from black near my face, it washes out my complexion, do you find this too?
Clockwise from top left: 1, 2, 3, 4
All from Net-A-Porter
Someone commented on Fashion Gone Rogue about this shoot (can I call it a shoot?) and they described it as “a fusion of art/design and fashion photography”. I would like to add that this “fusion” is absolutely fantastic…
Have a good weekend chickadees!
I love the colours and shapes in these shots, so fresh :)
I just want to thank all of you that read and comment on this blog. It means a lot to me and I appreciate it so much!
