Sorry for the lack of posting, hopefully the laptop will be back soon, but until then I'm stuck with a PC that loads slower than a snail.
On another note, Victoire de Castellane's fine jewellery collection for Dior caught my eye ages ago, but I haven't thought to post it until now. Milly Carnivora is a beautiful, luxurious and brightly coloured collection. Go check it out!
Thankfully exams are over, but I'm back at school soon.
Hope you're all enjoying your weekend, I spent the morning watching Florida Gators play Florida State Seminoles, I love the Gators. :)
Have a look at this, imagine having a backpack like that! I don’t think I’d dress up like a giant teletubbie (I think that’s how you spell it) though!
This is Tina Kalivas’ collection Polyrhythms for 2009. I love the vibrant colour she’s used, and I love how with the dresses and skirts the volume is on the side, with ruffles and sewn down pleats. I would buy these as statement pieces, I hardly ever wear prints, but I’m going to wear more as Summer comes around!
Have a good week!
Natalia Vodianova, love her in the Versace and Chanel makeup advertisements. And of course modelling for the perfume Euphoria by Calvin Klein advertisement. This Russian born model is 27 and still going strong, she’s a model, actress, mother of three and a philanthropist.
Someone asked if I get perks from my cousin… Nah, I’m not too fussed.
Still doing exam revision, by the end of the week I can guarantee that my head will have split in half. I’ll try and post throughout the week. Have a good weekend!
It was my cousin’s son’s Christening today. My cousin owns a premier fashion boutique, and today she was wearing a Vivienne Westwood dress, Chanel jewellery, an Alexander McQueen skull clutch and these Azzedine Alaias.
I said to her, “I love you Alaias” and she said to me, “How do you know? How old are you?”. I laughed… a lot!
Hope you’re having a great weekend, thanks for the sweet comments!
I have a friend who loves Miranda Kerr…fair enough. She looks so cute with the pink teddy. :)
I had my my Maths exam today, I am SO glad it’s over! Such a relief, I bet you all know that feeling!
Might post later… I hope you’re not melting, if you’re in Melbourne!
This is a photo off the pier of Rye beach, the water is so beautiful!
I really want to thank the readers of my blog that have subscribed, there’s 8 of you, thank you so much! And your comments are awesome, you really keep me going. xo
Doing exam revision, for the next 10 days. :(
Although I like sequins, I’m open to fine chains on clothing too. Contemplating whether to DIY chains onto something…maybe a blazer or something.
Sorry if I don’t update that often over the next week or so. 20th to the 26th of November I have exams, I might seem a bit distant. Bear with me please :)
Purchases from Bardot outlet store, if you’re in Melbourne GO! The 50% off sale finishes tomorrow! I finally bought some clothing with sequins, and leopard print…I’m getting better! Another pair of jeans, I’m trying not to buy skinny jeans so much, there’s so many other cuts and styles I want to try. And a new LBD, love the bustier detail. The gold sequined top is my favourite, so sparkly!
Listening to “Alpha Dog – Fall Out Boy”
- “They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
- Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
- At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
- We will remember them.”
For the Fallen – Laurence Binyon
Remembering those that have fallen in war. More posting tomorrow. :)
I am feeling so uninspired at the moment. I think the heat is getting to me. Here’s something inspiring, go check it out! Or if you want more fashion based inspiration head over to Lady Melbourne’s where she’s making circle skirts. I can’t do anything else but point you in the (slightly) right direction!
I thought I should do some posts on my favourite models, first one is Abbey Lee of Melbourne, Australia. She’s one of my favourite models of all time, with lots of attitude and an awesome nose piercing. Her Vogue Australia September 2008 is one of my favourites, her eyes just sparkle. She has appeared in Gucci and D&G ad campaigns. I love the Gucci ones she appears as a brunette with Anja Rubik, Raquel Zimmerman and Natasha Poly:
It’s around 34 degrees Celsius here (93.2 Fahrenheit), and I am boiling!
Kat Macleod mixes pencil, water colour and fabric to create intricate and interesting works of art. Love! Here’s a video of her creating her work, if you want to see more of her artwork head over to Michi Girl.
I’m looking for a pair of summer heels. Here is my small collection of findings. I really want either a platform wedge or a platform heel (I need the extra height) and possibly nude or brown coloured. I don’t mind black, but I’m looking for something more summery. If you can, please point me in the right direction!
“I met a devil woman, she took my heart away
She said I had it comin' to me, but I wanted it that way
I think that any love is good lovin'
And so I took what I could get, mmm
Oooh, oooh, she looked at me with big brown eyes
You ain't seen nothin' yet”
You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet – Bachman Turner Overdrive
This outfit is so perfect. The grey maxi dress, with the quilted exposed shoulder pads and the white and silver jewellery.
Now if I had a maxi dress like that… I would wear it quite a bit. With sandals, silver and turquoise and super high heels.

“It's astounding, time is fleeting
Madness takes its toll
But listen closely, not for very much longer
I've got to keep control”
The Time Warp
Google Accounts certainly does make up some weird words for their word verifications. Madness has taken its toll!
“So we sailed on to the sun,
Till we found the sea green,
And we lived beneath the waves,
In our yellow submarine”
Yellow Submarine – The Beatles
My friend and I sometimes use both our iPods together at the same time. We are a little crazy at times! We’ve had some great combinations, but one from today stood out. Yellow Submarine by The Beatles and Oops I Did It Again by Britney Spears. It was absolute madness!
Really looking forward to Vogue December, I’m waiting for my copy with excitement.
Although Burda don’t produce the easiest patterns, I’m willing to give their website a try. You can download patterns for free, which I’m really looking forward too!
Back at school after a 5 day weekend… Everyone was tired today, me included!
